Internacional's Kleber and Alecsandro both hit the woodwork in the first half, but Bautista turned a pass from Marco Fabian into the net in the final seconds of the opening half.

Kleber set up Internacional's first goal with a cross to Giuliano, and Andres D'Alessandro created on the second with a cross Indio headed back across goal to Bolivar.

Internacional hosts the second leg Wednesday in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
